Frequently asked questions
Does it work with my phone?
If it can send a text, yes. Flip phones, Light Phone, Punkt, a 2008 Nokia. 4G phones with a data plan can run a thin app that makes messaging nearly free.
What happens when I go over the fair-use caps?
Selfphone slows proactive texts first. It never stops answering something you texted. You'll see it coming in the Usage page and in the brief.
Can it spend my money?
Only inside the caps you set, and only through accounts you connected. Anything over the per-action cap needs your PIN by text.
Will it send messages as me?
It drafts. You send. A draft goes out only after you reply SEND from your phone.
Is WhatsApp officially supported?
No. WhatsApp has no API for personal accounts, so the bridge is unofficial and accounts can be restricted. We say so every time it matters, and you can turn it off.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, from Settings. Your number is held for 30 days in case you change your mind.
